Is there anything like the Noom color system?

Hello! First post and hoping to get some insight. I was on Noom - liked the lessons until it was repetitive. However, I loved the green, yellow and orange color system. It was so simple. My nutritionist needs me to document more than just calories and protein so I was hoping that MFP might have a learning to eat better system like Noom does with their colors. I understand though if MFP doesn't have anything like that and I just need to make my own system!

Thanks!

    MFP premium has some eating plans that provide guidance about how to eat nutritiously, but I don't know of anything like that in free MFP.

    Do note, though, that if you choose food entries carefully from the MFP database (being sure they're accurate), MFP will document much more than just calories and protein. It will keep track of all 3 macronutrients (protein, fats, carbs), fiber, total sugars, multiple micronutrients (various vitamins and minerals), the breakdown of fats (saturated, polyunsaturated, monounsaturated), etc.

    I was on NOOM for a few months around 2019.
    I remember the color codes. They were useful for a beginner’s understanding of nutrition, but ultimately not much more than a fancy version of a divided plate for newly diagnosed diabetic dieters.
    Something I do recommend for anyone who is learning portion control.
    Amazon has many different varieties.

    As for how you can use MFP to create and track your individual goals:
    In premium

    Be aware that not all features live up to the hype. (The take a picture of your food and have at guess what it is is particularly useless) but most are features I have found useful.

    There is a “food analysis” feature that’s potentially useful.

    Furthermore you can also adjust individual diet goals. I have done so for sodium because I need to keep mine relatively low per recommendation of my ENT.

    Also the timestamps on meals can be useful for some. Worth considering imo.

    @river137, hi fellow noomer
    That was the thing I liked least about Noom. The color coded foods. I loved the daily lessons and tasks though. And my first round with Noom I had a coach with a team of other noomers. The second time around with noom the community aspect had changed and I ended up staying here with MFP. That being said. Can you still not implement the noom color system into your life.? I have some of the charts if you don’t have those infographics. Or maybe you could do both. Log your foods on Noom and use MFP to track calories and exercise. I’ve done both before. I wanted a refresher Noom course but prefer to log my foods with MFP. Either way. Hope you find something that works for you that enjoy.
