I would take this one step at a time. There are workouts that will strengthen and/or tone core muscles, but you cannot actually choose where your fat comes off of. First focus on being in a consistent calorie deficit. Get good at counting your calories on a food scale and sticking to the goal. Then start adding exercise.0

I agree that learning to track food was something I found really beneficial, and still do, even though I lost all the weight over 15 years ago.
I do think it's important to exercise alongside watching the food intake. No need to learn about logging before you start exercise.
For @ttv528jhzm - if you like group exercise, do that! Weight comes off all over the body, you can't target any particular area, but a good cardio group like dancing or water aerobics or CrossFit or maybe a team sport are all helpful for losing weight.

Targeted body-area workouts don't really result in local fat loss.
There's a saying- "Abs are made in the kitchen".
Exercise is always good but if you want to lose fat you need to incorporate the correct diet.0
