Why would my TDEE go up as my weight goes down?

I've figured and re-figured it on TDEE calculator and scooby's home. Both sites have upped my TDEE by at least 300 calories. As if I weren't already confused! I was having trouble eating the amount of calories I (thought) I needed to before, there's no way I can get in that many more. I guess since I am losing, though, I should be thankful for having the problem how to eat MORE! lol

It shouldn't. Did you change your activity level?0

I agree, it shouldn't. And I just tried it out using scooby, all variables the same except a 20 lb drop in weight, my TDEE decreased by about 100 calories
It could either be that your activity level has changed or you didn't input some other field (gender, age, weight, height) correctly.0 -
It shouldn't...you probably changed your activity level. Are you looking at your actual TDEE or your TDEE - XX%...it's possible that you've chosen a lesser cut if you're looking at the latter. Your requisite calories actually go down as you lose weight...unless of course, you increase your activity level.0
