Step counter/fob compatibility

Hi, I am a newbie. I am having trouble keeping my phone on my person all the time to record my steps. My husband suggested a step counter type of fob that I could put around my ankle (some put it on their shoe). Anyway, would anyone know of such a thing and if it would connect to my Fitness Pal? TIA.

Why on your shoe/ankle specifically (rather than a watch-type tracker)?
You can find the compatible apps here: https://www.myfitnesspal.com/apps
You'll need to look at either specific brands (Garmin and Fitbit being the most popular) or trackers that sync with any of the compatible apps.0 -
I have holders for my Fitbit Inspire 3 that let it clip to my pants or bra when I don't want to wear it on my wrist. A quick Amazon search says they have ankle bands for the Inspire 3 as well.0
