I'm surprised there isn't more content on here for low fodmap foods, or for other gut health issues.

Low fodmap isn't really popular on here, and is really difficult to give advice on beyond... look up a list of low fodmap foods. That may be why you don't see much about it.0 -
There are a bunch of gut health articles in the MFP blog, at least one about FODMAPs and others that mention FODMAP according to search results, and a gut health eating plan (I don't know whether it covers low FODMAP, since fermentable fibers are considered a good thing if a person doesn't have a negative reaction to them). That's not a lot, but it's some.

FODMAP isn't a long term diet. It is an elimination diet to see what foods cause you issues. You are not to stay on it very long since it is extremely restrictive and eliminates a lot of healthy foods that may not even be a problem for you.1

My father-in-law was put on FODMAP strictly to diagnose a food allergy.
It was used as a non-allergy starting point. One by one, foods in question were added back to his diet to determine which ones were a problem.1 -
I use the Monash University app. It's incredibly helpful. I just started my 2 week course of antibiotics and this is my 3rd time going strict low FODMAP. It's not easy or fun, but it does it's job.1

I do low fodmap and I stay at the strictest phase because that is the only phase where I don't have GI issues. I have put my low fodmap recipes into the app and now it's really easy to log my daily meals. It has taken some time to do this, but it only had to be done once for each recipe.
The Fody Foods salad dressings and sauces are easy to find in the food search.2 -

I’m in the reintroduction phase of low FODMAP. But when I’m in an IBS flare it’s nice to know I have the safety net of going back to low FODMAP foods to give my stomach a break. Definitely recommend the MONASH University app/website0

@JeannieLake1 I wonder if there’s not a lot of discussion about it here because often people are put on low fodmap by a clinician and get their questions answered there? In any case I know it’s a big undertaking and certainly understand the need for support!
Like others I found the Monash app useful when I was following strictly. My symptoms have improved and I was able to identify the foods that affect me the most. I keep those to a minimum and only go strictly low fodmap if I’m really feeling bad and need to “reset”.
I found one of the biggest hurdles to be getting family members to understand. They would sneak in things like onions and garlic thinking it was all in my head and then I would end up with awful symptoms. I stopped letting people cook for me for a while!2
