i hooked up a harness to my cable tower, put the weight on 60, and tried walking forward as if i were pulling a sled. turns out that at 60 pounds, walking hard i stayed right were i was, and after basically walking against the weight without moving for 10 minutes, my hamstrings, muscles around my knees and my quads were exhausted - in a good way. it kept my heart rate up to about what it would be walking up a 5% incline.

does this exercise have a name?

Not really. Just walking with resistance. You can do them with bands, weighted vests, inclines, etc.

    Okay, thanks.

By the way, this gave my legs a much better workout than walking against resistance bands are using a weighted vest. I really got to burn on :-)
