Body Bugg

I was wondering if anyone else is using a body bugg in conjunction with MFP? I am getting some conflicting data!
The software for body bugg says that I need only 100 more calories to meet my daily needs while MFP says that I should consume another 1000 calories...I have both set to the same weight loss goals so you would think that they would both be very similar.
Any thoughts???

What time is it where you are? Bodymedia (body bugg) shows you your deficit in real time, whatever time of day it is. But it also estimates how much you'll burn for the remainder of the day, and the total amount it estimates you'll burn is transferred over to mfp. Mfp then subtracts out what it thinks you'll burn for the day and puts the rest as exercise calories.
So, say it's noon where you are. Body bugg says you've burned 1000 today. It thinks you'll burn 2000 total for the day. Mfp thinks you burn say 1700 in a day. So your mfp will show 300 exercise calories (and increase your calorie allowance accordingly). Lets say that at noon, you've eaten (or logged) 500 calories. Body bugg will show you at a 500 calorie deficit (because in real time, you've only burned 1000 calories at noon). Say your mfp goal is 1200. At noon, it'll say you have 1000 calories remaining (1200 + 300 exercise - 500 eaten). At the end of the day, it should all work out.
The alternate scenario is that body bugg does not adjust your calorie goals if you burn more than your burn goal. So mine are "set" at 2050 burned and 1550 to eat. If I burn 3500, the calories to eat with body bugg still stay at 1550, while the exercise calories transferred to mfp give me a whole lot more to eat and still keep that same deficit.
You will drive yourself crazy trying to match 2 systems that don't work the same way. Set your mfp deficit (lbs/week) to the same as your body bugg and just follow mfp.0 -
Thanks for the advice...I can see that now as I look back at yesterday and notice that it did adjust again also I noticed it change again as I uploaded the info from the body bugg!!
Having the two linked is new to me as my model didn't have this function until recently...totally excited about the update but was seriously confused!!0 -
