6 year relapse

Good morning friends!
6 years ago I went from 345 to 240. 6’3” male age 38(now). I did it the old fashioned way, counting calories and working out. Two months ago I hit the scale and saw that I had gained it all back and was again 345. Not beating myself up about it, weight loss is a journey and setbacks happen. I started hitting the gym again, this time incorporating weight lifting instead of just cardio. Today I’m 316 and back on track. The first 30 drops of quickly for me, at least it did last time as well as this time. Discipline will get me to the goal which isn’t a number this time. I just want to be healthy and strong. Dropping 3 digits would be cool again and I’m sure it will happen but this time around I am concentrating on body shape and my ability to be physically active.
Please share your story of relapse and success after. We can motivate each other!
Thank you MFP community!!!!

Dude I started at 275 back in 2017 and got down to 180. Recently though, life happened and I went back to 280. I just started back in a fitness journey but am realizing how much fitness effects my attitude and look out on life! You can do it, you already took the first step. Good luck on your journey friend.0

I don't know if I can consider myself a success story because I've only lost 12 pounds so far, but I'm the Queen of Relapsers. I've gone up and down in weight my entire life, getting as high as 200 (recently) and as low as 110 (I'm a five foot four female). I was guided to MFP back in March by my online fitness coach. Now I'm convinced that I will not relapse again. This site is full of good information and the members are very supportive. This time around I'm eating more calories than I used to while dieting down and I'm still losing a pound a week (1500). MFP keeps me on track.1
