In the tracker, put in
1 = 1 whole of what it says such as 1 cup, 1 slice, 1 oz, 1 gram.
Common partial amounts, put in the partial amount using the decimal number.
One 4th (1/4th) put in as .25
One half (1/2) put in as .5
Three quarters (3/4) as .75
1/3 as .33
2/3 as .66
3 tablespoons in a quarter cup. So if item has quarter cup but you only eat 1 tablespoon, that is .33 of a quarter cup. You can also do a search on the net to convert between quantities between things like tablespoons and cups.

Weigh your food. Then find a database entry in grams. There's a dropdown for the unit. When your banana without peel is 70gr and there's an option for 100gr then you log 0.7. If there's an option for 1g then you log 70.3

Besides decimal fractions, the browser version (not the phone app) also allows negative entries. Useful if you want to log, say, a Wendy's hamburger with half the bun removed.1
