My macros keep changing

It’s really annoying… I need to change it everyday. Why do they keep changing when I set them specifically for my goals?? This appears to be a problem over significant time and can’t see any resolve??

Are you on phone or computer? Are you logging exercises? If you log exercises (as you should) you get more calories, and hence relatively speaking more macros.

You set macros as a percent

When you exercise, you “earn” more calories. That percent resets to reflect the higher calorie allotment.

    It should fluctuate every day.

If you’re just starting don’t stress too hard. You’ve got enough on your MFP plate to worry about macros. Get the basics of weighing, logging and recording down and then worry about macros.

I’ve been doing this nearly six years. Even now, if mine are fluctuating a lot, I just look at my seven day averages and find they are generally fairly close to where I want them to be. A seven day average is just fine by me. Alleviates the daily stress and self-nitpicking.

You can manually set your calories in your macros, but do it in grams. Don’t do it in percentages.

Are you syncing with a fitbit or something? Your % of fat, carbs, protein should remain the same, but your daily calories allowance will adjust based on the exercise you add, to the same macros % you specified.

Personally, I ignore the macros percentages. I look at total calories and protein in grams only.
