Can the Samsung Galaxy 5 Pro smartwatch be linked to myfitnesspal to track my exercises and steps? I used to use fitbit, but now have the smartwatch.

It works, but you need to incorporate the Samsung Health app.
Your watch and MFP cannot communicate with each other, but they both CAN communicate with Samsung Health
