Input food items disappeared from MyFitnessPal iOS app

Hi.
For a start I'll mention that this isn't the first time that has happened. Earlier this morning I would input food items into iPhone 11 app and later everything has just mysteriously disappeared! I also need to mention that it's very frustrating!!
Does anyone have any ideas as to why this error has occurred? Or is it a bug in the app itself or maybe a temporary glitch?
