My Wegovy Journey

I started Wegovy back in February of this year and so far I am very pleased. The scale moves at a gradual pace - down 23 lbs - but can see a difference with my body. I have lost 1-1/2” off my hips and 1” on my waist. The most positive thing that I am noticing is with my eating habits. Fruits and salads set better for me in my tummy while I can still enjoy small amounts of favorite foods when I want and then I am satisfied. This is such a game changer for me! As an emotional eater I would eat whatever I was desiring that day until I was stuffed. It feels so good to eat to live instead of living to eat!

    Hi Deewhip!
I just started Ozempic on Friday and I’m already noticing way less hunger signals. How are you doing now since it’s been 2 months since your post?

Hi @deewhip and @squirt313 - I am on compound tirzepitide. No insurance to cover the brand name meds. On my third month. I am down 20 + lbs . Slow and steady. Its a financial hit every month but its a sacrifice I am willing to make right now. I had my wake up call after a series of injuries and then gained a ton of weight, not to mention the depression and low self worth that came with it. I still have about 30 lbs to go to get to my goal weight. I have lost my menopause belly and am strength training 2-3 times a week. I have a waist again and I feel way better. I didn't have much hope when I started because a year ago I tried 3 months of Saxenda and it did NOTHING. Then a couple of friends gave me the info on the compounded versions . I was suspect but after talking to them , I was willing to try. I was already eating healthy and working out .

I didn't even know what food noise meant a few months ago and certainly didn't realize I was dealing with it. Now its so nice to not think about food so much. AND , while I have always stayed active , menopause hit and nothing I was doing was helping. No regets.

Hi @squirt313 and @HappyDonkey75 it’s been awhile and I apologize for not responding. I don’t remember reading these. I am still on my semaglutide weight loss journey and happy to say I am now down 40 lbs. Still en route to lose 30 more. No regrets at all about deciding to go this route. I hope you both are also doing well on your treatment

@deewip - that's amazing, congrats! 40 lbs is amazing. I am also still on Tirz. But my loss has been a bit slowed up, hovering around the 28 lbs loss. I noticed that in the last few weeks my appetite and cravings are coming back a bit more than I would like and so I am considering going up in dose.. I would like to lose another 20-30 ideally. Hang in there and best of luck

@HappyDonkey75 Went through something similar after the first 3 months or so. I think that is what our bodies and minds do- they get stubborn. But hang in there, you will start losing again.
