    Hello, and welcome!

I have to admit, I'm a skeptic about a calendar as a weight loss tool, and averaging 8-ish pounds or more a month is pretty fast loss. That fast at first may be realistic, but as we get slimmer, we have less fat available to metabolize, and at our age (I'm 68 F) minimizing the amount of muscle we lose alongside fat is a really good plan, IMO. But you can definitely lose a meaningful chunk of weight in what sounds like about 8.5 months.

MFP can be very helpful IME: I lost from class 1 obese to a healthy weight back in 2015-16, and have stayed in a healthy range for around 8 years since. That, after around 30 years of overweight/obesity.

I'm cheering for you to succeed: The quality of life benefits have been huge for me, and I want that for everyone. Best wishes!
