Mostly Plant Based

Hello, my name is Jennifer, and I'm new to the forum. I currently have elevated blood pressure, and elevated cholesterol levels. I'm switching to a mostly plant based diet, and am looking to connect with others trying to lose weight and make similar life style changes

    It's only lightly active lately, but there's some useful stuff in there.

    FWIW, I used to have high blood pressure and high cholesterol/triglycerides . . . but both have been solidly normal since 2015. That happened only part way through weight loss, when I was down about half of the total 50 pounds I went on to lose. I've stayed at a healthy weight since, and those health markers have stayed good. I think I don't have genetic tendencies toward either problem, which I know can make it a little more difficult. But even in those cases, reaching a healthy weight (and adding exercise, if relatively inactive) can help.
