Is there really such a thing as a plateau?

I've lost about 5-10kgs this last six months, but despite exercising more I can't seem to lose any more? I took Antagolin (for insulin resistance) for a whilst and lost weight very rapidly, but since stopped taking it because it was making me lightheaded. I've heard that you may reach a plateau for weight loss at some point - how do I get over the hump?

Well, it depends on your situation. You look like you are at a pretty healthy weight, but it's depends on what your goals are. Yes, plateaus happen for a variety or reasons. As a general rule, the thinner you get the harder it gets to lose weight.

So, state your goals, give us some stats and open your diary.

    Agreed.

A variety of things can cause plateaus, and there are a few different ways to go about getting past them. Tell us what you're currently doing/eating and what yoru goals are and we can make some more appropriate recommendations.
