I'm craving for popcorn, but the pre-packed stuff is a no-no... I'm in the UK, so any recipes for a healthy seasoning on air-popped popcorn would be appreciated! :)

Whats wrong with prepacked? I love the orville Redenbacher 94% fat free microwave popcorn, I eat about a bag a day :)

I sprinkle curry powder on mine. My kids like pepper & nutritional yeast.
  • Orville Redenbacher also makes 100 Calorie Smart Pop bags in regular and kettle corn flavors.

When I make air-popped popcorn I usually just add a pinch of salt and butter spray. But you can also sprinkle some parmesan cheese or chili powder or just about any spice you are in the mood for. ummmm I love popcorn!

i buy the kernels in a bottle. get a big bowl but like 3-4 tbs kernels in it, cover the bowl.... microwave =]
i sometimes sprinkle literally a tiny pinch of salt.... or cinnamon... or sometimes i sprinkle nothing on it. i love the popcorn taste!

Try spraying non-stick butter spray (called PAM here in the states) on the popcorn and sprinkling with your favorite seasonings (cinnamon, curry, chili powder, etc.).

I too love the Orville Smart Pop bags. If you like butter on it the Move Over Butter (butter substitute) melts a little better than the I Can't Believe it's Not Butter. I've tried Butter Buds and spray on ICBINB and also a Jolly Time salt/butter combination and didn't like any of those. My brother-in-law likes Tabasco sauce on his. My sister-in-law puts butter and cinnamon and maybe a little sugar on it and it's yummy. You could use the butter substitute or maybe it would stick to the spray. If you find something yummy that works please share. Popcorn is my Sunday night tradition (along with an afternoon snack sometimes).
