What have you learned this week?

What have you learned this week that will help you with your goal? (I thought it might be nice to collect everyone's aha moments together before the weekend!)

I have learned:

- No matter how much you convince yourself or others that 'that little bite doesn't count', or 'yeah that looks about 30g(not!), or 'yes that's definitely just a SMALL glass of wine'...you can't lie to your body, it will always give you away.

- Cardio IS good for you, but doesn't mean weight loss. It all starts with your diet

- I retain a lot of fluid when I have a high sodium day

    I eat a lot of fruit.

    Fiber bars give me horrible bloating and gas.

    In-season grapes are god's gift to man.

    Start everyday new so that means not dwelling on bad days and try not to compensate, learn to move on. This may seem simple to some but for me the guilt can get to me but I did it this week : )

    That all the money I spent on skin creams was a complete waste of money - all I had to do to have healthy, glowing skin is change my diet.

    I learned that water really is a true treasure when one is losing weight...
    That it is okay to feel hungry...it is the body's signal when we need food....
    Sodas, sugars, complex carbs, and salt is really what kept me so obese all these years....
    I am strong enough to make this change because I am ready!
