How important is it to stay under on sugar??

So this has been bugging me. I'm ALWAYS over on my sugars. Usually being from all the fruit I eat or a bowl of cereal in the morning. It's ridiculous...EARLY this morning (in my half awake, in pain, relief seeking venture) I had a cup of 1% chocolate milk with an ibprophen.... and HOLY #@$%^# there goes my sugar for the day. Oops... my bad. I understand chocolate milk was probably not the best idea but HOLY COW! <- haha *no pun intended*

Do you have a medical condition that warrants being super mindful of your sugar intake? If not just ignore it0 -
Unless you have a medical reason to monitor your sugar intake, don't worry about it.
Just in case you weren't aware of this feature, when you go to the message boards section, there is a button called search and you can type in a keyword/phrase (ex: sugar) and you can see the threads that have already been created on the topic. Good luck! :flowerforyou:

brit_nay --- That a good question. It's been bugging me too. I just started doing the whole food diary thing and I'm a little shocked that I appear to be eating more sugar than I'm supposed to and not getting enough protein. And I thought i had a good diet! Turns out I'm also low on Vitamin C and potassium. So I googled those and will be adding dried apricots and dried papaya as snacks and trying out cannallini beans and cubed turkey on my salads at lunch. Who knew?
The sugar thing is weird though. Staying under the recommended amount is not easy. I like having a muffin or roll with my mid-morning coffee and I'm not big on the sugar-free versions. might have to go that way though.0
