How important is it to stay under on sugar??

So this has been bugging me. I'm ALWAYS over on my sugars. Usually being from all the fruit I eat or a bowl of cereal in the morning. It's ridiculous...EARLY this morning (in my half awake, in pain, relief seeking venture) I had a cup of 1% chocolate milk with an ibprophen.... and HOLY #@$%^# there goes my sugar for the day. Oops... my bad. I understand chocolate milk was probably not the best idea but HOLY COW! <- haha *no pun intended*

Do you stress about your sugar intake??
