Hello, I want to lose weight after gaining about 10kg in the last two years despite training a lot of bjj. I see conflicting info on the internet regarding whether or not I should add my jiujitsu sessions into my calorie intake in order to achieve a deficit

The conflicting info is likely because there are various calorie calculators and methods; TDEE (total daily energy expenditure) works on calculating your overall energy expenditure so you wouldn’t add extra exercise calories in. MFP doesn’t work off TDEE, so it gives you a suggested calorie intake with no exercise built in - you therefore eat your exercise calories.
TBH they’re all much of the same, they can only ever be estimates and the base point for all of them is to record your calories ACCURATELY for a couple of weeks. You then know what your daily intake is, and you can either use the wizard in MFP to suggest calories, or go into one of the online calculators.
Martial arts are an excellent form of exercise, but you can’t out train (or fight!) a poor / high calorie diet. You’ve been eating more than you burn I’m afraid.1
