I have been told to eat 1650 calories but not loosing weight

Hi, it is been 9 days and I am doing 1650 calories with min 100 gr protein. I do hot pilates or yoga few times a week. My steps are avarage 7000. I did not loose weight but gained half a pound. I might need to be patient but wanted to ask for advice before I commit to 1650 calories for another week. Should I go down to 1500 maybe? I am 5,6 , 167 lb (76 kg), 46 year old female.

Stick to 1650 for 4 weeks/1 menstrual cycle and then evaluate. Our bodyweight is composed of more than just bodyfat, it takes time to see your true weight trend through the short term fluctuations from changes in water weight etc.

In the meantime, do check if you are logging correctly: weighing everything, picking accurate database entries, using recipe builder/Meals functionality for home-cooked meals - you may be eating more than you think.

I lost almost all my weight at 1550 PLUS additional Exercise calories, so on days I exercised I was eating anywhere from 1800-2000 calories. I'm female, 5'7"-5'8". Retired, so not a lot of required daily activity. My activity living in a small condo is pretty light.

I agree with Lietchi, though. Really dial in your accuracy, because that's where you'll get the most benefit.

If no loss after 4 to 6 weeks, it means your calories are too high so you’ll need to lower your weekly calories

9 days isn't long enough. Follow the 4-6 week recommendation, then evaluate. Personally, I maintain around 1650 (42 female, 128 lb, 5 foot 5) but my muscle mass isn't that impressive. It's POSSIBLE that you would need to lower but it's way too soon to tell.
