Input notes

Hi,

It doesn’t appear that I am able to add notes or cooking instructions to a recipe I add. Is that right, or am I missing something?

Thanks,

Chip

The recipe records are exclusively for measuring nutrients/macros/calories.
Its not intended to be a cooking reference.

Use “meals” to enter your recipes. They’re much more flexible. You can copy them if you want to tweak the original recipe, you can make notes etc.

Also, when you record a meal, you’ll get a complete breakdown of the ingredients in your diary.

For example, adding a recipe to your diary just gives you “Chip’s Chili 1 serving” as a lump sum, but adding a saved “meal” you may have names Chip’s Chili to your diary gives you the individual ingredients: “4 oz beef, 140gr beans, 60 gr diced tomatoes” etc.

If you’re tracking a particular macro, ”meals” also makes it much easier to see where your macros are coming from or if a meal fell short of a macro (most useful for premium subscribers”.
