This app helps me alot. I think I am going slower than I should as it's taken me 3 months so far. If course I fall back into not the best eating sometimes, but not giving up!

You're making progress and that's great. I wouldn't worry too much about how slow it seems to be. If you feel good about the changes you are making and can maintain them, then you are likely better off now than 3 months ago.0

That's fantastic progress.
If you trust the process and are patient good things will happen.0 -
Cindy, it has taken me two years to get to a reasonable weight. As my doctor says, "slow is how you go". Sustained weight loss can be maintained easier than weight shedding off quickly. Keep up the good work and celebrate these achievements.0

Averaging 7 pounds a month is actually pretty fast! I think you're doing great.
Two pounds a week is about the maximum anyone should go IMO, unless severely obese and under close medical supervision for deficiencies or complications. (There are reasons why 2 pounds a week is MFP's fastest loss setting!) I wouldn't even suggest losing as fast as 2 pounds a week unless quite overweight to start.
Maybe this isn't the case for you, but with all the tabloids in the supermarket checkout line screaming "lose 20 pounds in a month with Dr. XYZ's diet", so-called reality shows like "The Biggest Loser", and the blogosphere selling miracle weight loss, it's easy to think it's normal and appropriate to lose dozens of pounds a month. It's not. In most cases, it wouldn't be health-promoting.
Keep doing what you're doing, keep working on sustainable eating and activity habits that will not only get you to a healthy weight but also keep you there long term, ideally permanently. It's very human to slip back into old habits sometimes, but making sure the new habits are as easy and achievable as possible can be a help toward long term success. (Having some excess weight isn't a sin we need to expiate by suffering. Extremely restrictive eating rules and punitively intense exercise are not required, and may not be helpful. ).
Best wishes!1
