    I'm sorry to hear that!

Here's the thing: Most people who ultimately succeed in losing/maintaining have had previous unsuccessful attempts. The key thing is to learn from them, and adjust the strategy/plan to increase odds of success.

There's no point in catastrophizing about it: Weight management isn't an epic battle between good and evil, and being overweight isn't a sin we need to expiate by being miserable. Food is tasty, and it's easy to eat more of it than we need.

Keep working at it, and you can succeed.

My first, best tip is always to work on finding new routine eating and activity habits that are easy to continue, and compatible with an overall happy life: Tasty, filling foods; enjoyable activity (exercise and daily life movement). The easier weight loss can be made, the less "motivation" or "willpower" needed, the higher the odds of long-term success.

Too many people get started and try to lose weight fast, maybe using very restrictive eating rules (eating only so-called diet foods, omitting all so-called "bad" foods), and maybe stacking extreme, punitive exercise on top of that. Those people are going to be glad when that's over, right?

Trouble is, successful weight management is a forever endeavor, if we want to not only reach a healthy weight, but stay there. That's going to depend on finding those new, relatively easy, sustainable habits. That's a different mindset, low in drama, but it can work.

    Best wishes!

Generally, you can count on the first 10 being fairly easy. Between water weight, fresh motivation and your body doing something new, you're going to feel great. However, after that 10 your body is trying to decide if it need to hold on to weight for survival. Changing up intensity or adding a fast on there can help push your body to starting the "new trend" again. Up your protein or add extra vegetables depending on your eating habits.
    Good luck!

Remember that there is no "failing" because this is a lifelong endeavor. You can't fail because there is no endpoint. Keep working at it.
