No point anyway, to be honest, you cannot see their progress, they cannot see yours. MFP removed the newsfeed a while back. It was one of the worse decisions they ever made.

Can you say more? For example, I'm hoping you realize that (if the app is working right for you) you can only send a friend request (FR), but the other person won't be your friend on MFP until they accept the request.

Not everyone here accepts requests. IME, women are particularly hesitant to accept FRs from men, because there are sadly so many men who behave in ways women find creepy. (Example: Trying to get phone numbers or other outside contact info so they can "chat", which most of us interpret as . . . well, you know, wanting a certain kind of chat.) There are also periodic problems with people using FRs to try to sell supplements and that sort of thing. There are also catfishers.

FRs are somewhat more likely to be accepted if you have some contact with a person here in the Community, or at least a track record of participating in positive ways in the Community.

If the problem isn't something like this, then yes, it's probably a support request issue as Jean suggests.

Di is also right, more or less: Being friends with someone just means you can send them private messages, or look at their diary if they've set their diary to be open to friends.
