iPhone 5 and straight talk

Anyone have an iPhone 5 and using straight talk? I bought one online and want to switch over to straight talk, but was reading a review from 2012 that you lose picture messaging with anyone who doesn't have an iPhone and also visual voicemail notification. Just wondering if that was truly the case or if it was just an old review and if it was something that was fixed by now. Thanks!
