I know it is only been since August 19th but I walk 2.5- 3.3 speed 1- 3 miles daily (avg 1 1/2). I dont eat before morning work out and eat before evening work out- I do not consume more than 1000 calories and sometimes my average is less than 800.

I truly do not think I am starving myself I am just not hungry - I snack on Skinny pop popcorn (1 bag a day) or sugar free pickles (about 6).

I lost 20 lbs just with calorie counting in January-March my real 1st push at weight lose and didn't work out- now i lost 2 lbs last friday just to gain it back this week.

I have worked out a total work outs- 35 Miles 40.95 mi time put in 14.58 h 8,759 kCal: huh:

What Am I doing wrong??????????????????

I agree, your not eating enough calories and trey focusing on real food with vital nutrients in them, you will be in starvation mode now and have to eat about maintenance calories while exercising to raise you metabolism. when you get out of the starvation mode and raise metabolism you can reduce calories and you will start to shed weight that will stay off. Hope this helps.

You're starving your body. Eat more. It's common sense.

YOU ARE NOT EATING ENOUGH!! Use My Fitness Pal to calculate the calories you should be having per day and use ALL of the allowance. You need to read the article just republished - you are starving yourself and you will NOT lose weight if you continue what you are doing.

I'm going to just start posting these links every time "starvation mode" is mentioned.

    http://www.aworkoutroutine.com/starvation-mode/
    http://www.aworkoutroutine.com/how-to-lose-fat/

You are NOT in starvation mode. You're burning far fewer calories than you think with exercise and most likely consuming more calories then you think you are.

If you want to be sucessful, you first have to educate yourself and then get real about your food intake and energy output.

try to eat little things every few hours that contain PROTEIN. pickles and popcorn have no nutritional value. have 1/2 pbj sandwich, cheese and a couple of crackers, a string cheese, a scrambled egg or 1/2 tunafish sandwich. and make sure dinner contains PROTEIN and veggies. chicken and fish are the best, but lean cut porkchops are good too. and as many veggies as you can eat. salads or stir-fried so you feel full and get good nutrition.

Ummm she said she's eating 800 calories a day. That's FAR too little for any woman.

EAT! I am sure you wanted a magic answer, but it is a simple as that! Eat at least 1200 calories per day, and eat back your exercise calories. Give it 4 weeks and see what happens.

I did the same thing when I first started and actually gained the first month. Then I listened to my husband who lifts weights and my MFP friends and started eating more. I follow exactly what MFP recommends and it is coming off slowly like it should. 18 weeks 20 pounds. 1 pound a week is the way to go. I eat 6 small meals a day and stay under my caloric goal. Sometimes I eat all my exercise calories back and sometimes I don't. If I feel I need it I eat them. It is important to be eating the right kind of foods. I have some great friends if you want to friend me and read their helpful hints.

Are you logging your food everyday? Are you weighing and measuring everything that you eat? Can you make your diary public?

    This.

Plus be PATIENT! You didn't put the weight on overnight and it's certainly not going to come off overnight either! If you are close to your goal weight, it will come off even slower. Your weight will fluctuate daily. If scale fluctuations bother you, weigh only once per week. Everything from a salty meal, to pooping or not pooping, to your time of month will affect the scale. Finally, exercise, especially when you first start exercising, will cause a temporary water weight increase. Your muscles will hold onto some water while they are repairing themselves.

Oh, and EAT and eat REAL FOOD! There are no awards for eating as little as possible. The only thing that gets you is hungry!

How accurate is your current calorie counting? Are you sure you're eating only 800-1,000 calories a day? I'm absolutely not saying you are lying, but you may be underestimating. Are you weighing your portions or guesstimating?

BBC clip re: underestimating caloric intake. The woman in the clip underreported by 43% when she wrote down what she ate after every meal and underestimated even more when she reported at the end of each day.

How can you say this when OP says herself she is eating 800 calories, and her diary is locked? Me thinks you need a few more facts!

Not only that but watch your sodium levels. Pickles and popcorn can be offenders and make you retain lots of water

Think of food as fuel for your body, not in terms of calories. Try to get the most bang for your buck nutrient wise. From what you have described in terms of snacks, it sounds like those are high in sodium. Try to limit your sodium intake to 1500 and I bet you'll see the scale move down!
