New here

Hey I'm new here, after many failed attempts I've decided to give this another shot.
Going to try eating to my macros and exercise a minimum of three times a week.
I think I've finally realised that it's a lifestyle change rather than a diet.

I'm based in the UK but feel free to add me as a friend and we can spur each other on.

    Hello, and welcome!

Your mindset shift sounds perfect: I'm a big believer in finding the easiest path to a healthy weight, rather than the fastest path.

For myself, I decided I wasn't going to do anything to lose weight that I wasn't willing to keep up permanently to stay at a healthy weight, other than a sensibly moderate calorie deficit until I reached goal weight. That put a priority on finding new eating and activity habits I could keep up almost on autopilot when other parts of life got challenging. I'd been overweight/obese for around 30 years, lost down to a healthy weight in just under a year (at age 59-60) and have maintained my weight in a healthy range for 8 years since. The quality of life improvement was very much worth the effort.

    Wishing you success!
