Saturated vs monounsaturated / polyunsaturated fat goals under nutrients

Under nutrients, there is a goal listed for saturated fats (the bad kind) under nutrients, but no goal for monosturated and polyunsaturated fats (the good fats). This leads you to believe you should minimize the good fats and get more of the bad fats. Can the nutrient goal be changed to encourage good fats?

MFP bases goals on standard, mainstream nutritional authorities' guidance. They don't invent things themselves. There aren't standard goals for poly- and monounsaturated fats.
In one sense, MFP could have made the goal say "not applicable" or something, but by leaving it zero they're letting you set your own goal for those if you want to. You can think of the "goal" for saturated fats as a maximum, because that's how standard mainstream nutrition authorities think of it, IMU.
That's true in general, that some goals are more realistic to think of as maximums, others as minimums. Even then, some individuals may choose to reset the goals to personalized values in individual special circumstances.
