Hello! I've been on WW for years. I've not had a lot of luck losing weight. Who has switched to counting macros over points and had success? Also, I love sweets...help!

For weight loss you need to count calories. Every day eat fewer calories than you burn.
Put sweets in their place- on an "occasional" schedule and at very reasonable portion sizes.
That's what I call entertainment-food. You need to pay more attention to function-food.

I have been an on and off WWer for longer than I want to admit. In 2014-2016 I lost 35kg/80lbs with MFP. When I gained it back, through my own bad habits, I 'donated' to WW again on and off for years, never really losing, and then came back to MFP a few months ago and I'm 15kg/34lbs down.
WW is too complex, and has too many arbitrary judgements and rules. It's crazy that I can have a 4 egg and veg omelette for breakfast, a chicken and veggie stirfry for lunch, a slab of salmon with vegetables and a range of legumes (chickpeas, kidney beans, butter beans etc) in a yogurt dressing for dinner, fruit after every meal, and WW tells me I haven't eaten ANY of my points for the day and I need to eat 19 points worth of food to get my "good girl" blue dot.
MFP doesn't have the gimmicks, just the maths. And it's free.5
