Hello I will try to make this short and informative.
I am currently trying to loose weight but do not know where to begin. I need to loose around 90ish lb, I’ve tried before but it’s been quite difficult. I need help knowing how to start and what I can do that is rather easy for a beginner because I lack motivation but know this needs to be done. I did a work out for one day and never did it again, (that was like almost a month ago). I know I need to control my diet and exercise but at the same time i’m just confused on what to eat?? When I see others around me eating yummy food it makes me want to eat it lol.
Thank you for reading any advice is helpful:)
PS I had to re add this so it’s been up loaded twice

You don't need to change everything at once.
Food: you can eat yummy food (whatever that means for you), you just need to control your portions. Honestly, you can eat whatever you want if the quantities are appropriate, but if you log everything you eat you will soon learn which foods have many calories and which ones don't, and based on your experience you will be able to determine which foods keep you full for longer.
If you choose a reasonable weight loss rate (not too fast) you'll be able to manage your hunger better.
Bonus goal: sufficient protein is a good thing to aim for, once you're used to logging - it'll help preserve muscle mass during weight-loss.
Exercise is optional for weight loss (though great for health, and does let you eat more to arrive at the same rate of loss). Just try to find something you enjoy - no suffering is needed. Just increasing your step count/walking is fine already. You don't need to suddenly for yourself to do some punitive exercise regime 6 days a week!
Bonus goal: regular resistance training is a good thing to aim for, once you're used to being more active- it'll help preserve muscle mass during weight-loss.
For food as well as exercise, the key (IMHO) is to make gradual changes. That way you don't need 'motivation', because you're not forcing yourself to do anything hard (unpleasant or very different from what you're used to).6 -

Lietchi's advice is perfect.
For me, when I started logging what I was eating, some things jumped right out at me as costing too many calories, compared with how satisfying (in taste and fullness) or useful (in nutrition) they were to me. Those first reductions were easy cuts. Some took the form of smaller portions, less frequent consumption. Others I found better substitutes that I enjoyed eating that were lower calorie, more nutritious, or more filling.
I can't think of any food I dropped entirely forever, though there may be a few that just dropped out of rotation because they never seem worth the calories.
By the way, if you'd like to delete your duplicate post, you can do that. Go to the one that's a duplicate (not this one with replies), and click on "flag" at the left side right under your post. Next, click on "report". Then, in the pop-up, click the " This is my post and I want to delete it" button. Finally, click the "Send report" button at the bottom of that pop-up box. The moderators will delete the post for you. It may take a little time - they're live humans, and volunteers - but it will happen.

For me I would say a really easy rule to follow would be to mainly eat single or few ingredient foods. Examples of this would be any types of animal protein, vegetables, fruits, naturally occurring carbohydrates (Rice/Potato/ect), healthy fats. If you can do this for 70% of the food you eat then you can get away with more of the fun foods for times with family or friends. I also agree with increasing your step count as this is by far the easiest way to lose some extra lbs and ensure you are moving your body staying healthy. Good luck you got this.2

My opinion only.
What's your favorite fruit? Buy some.
What's your favorite vegetable? Buy some.
Do you like to cook? Find a new recipe that looks healthy, tasty, and easy to prepare. Make it.
Don't like to exercise? Put on comfy clothes, good walking shoes. Go to the park, or something special in your area that you're curious about. (Museum, lake, tourist attraction) See what happens.
Crowd out unhealthy fattening foods with healthier choices.
Actively having fun counts as exercise.4 -
