I want to lose weight . I joined the gym now so feel better about it. It’s so hard to keep up as I work nights. So looking for some support .

Hi! You have made a great start with joining the gym. But I can imagine night work is challenging for that. Still, you have committed and that's huge!
Logging your food/meals really does help and logging a day of meals ahead of time helps keep you on track. But no one is perfect.....me included, that's for sure. The thing is to not beat yourself up over it or throw up your hands and quit. There is no diet police...you may fall back, but all you have to do is get up move forward. The past is the past....there is only the present and future.
This site helped me lose 50 pounds years ago. After my partner died, I gained back 30 of those over the last 10 years. I developed diabetes and am insulin dependent, which makes losing weight even more difficult. I want to get off the insulin or at least, take less. I did it before and I can do it again.
I don't know if this is your first time at losing weight but it doesn't matter. You have the power...you make the decisions. You don't have to deprive yourself if you don't want to, although with some people, it's necessary....the temptations are too great. My Endocrinologist says everything in moderation and that's mostly what I follow. And it's working. And either way you do it, it works.
Hope you have started logging your food and there are a lot of groups here that can offer support. I belong to Serial Starters....people who have tried and failed several times. As I said in the beginning, no one is perfect. I wish you the best of luck and success on your journey!0 -
