    Welcome. :flowerforyou:

Weight-wise? I'm much happier in every way when I am at a healthy weight and getting some moderate exercise on a regular basis. Good nutrition goes a long way toward a balanced mood for me.

    That's a great goal!

I'd encourage you to give some thought to what that means to you in specific terms, i.e. what it would make you happy to be able to do; or if the goal is appearance-related, what you might need to do to get there, including the mindset side of it.

There's no question that weight loss and fitness improvement will each improve quality of life in diverse ways (some of which I never would've anticipated, in my own case). The combination of both is absolutely gangbusters!

For many people (based on what folks post here), simply getting to a lower number on the scale isn't enough. Some report that they need to learn to love their current body before they can invest the effort in revamping their eating and activity to improve that body. Some reach goal and find themselves still self-critical despite being objectively in a good place, so they need additional work on self-acceptance and self-celebration.

Our culture sometimes puts so much emphasis on scale weight that it can create expectations that simply reaching that number is a magical key to happiness. In reality, it's a great factor, but there's more to it.

    Wishing you complete wonderful outcomes!
