Meals that match my Macros

Hello does this app have anything that spits out recipes to match your macro goals? If not does anyone else know any other apps that do this?

    No, MFP doesn't have that.

I've been told that https://www.eatthismuch.com/ will do a full-day plan with specified macro goals, if a person signs up for an account. (I think just a free account, but not sure. I've only played with the free/no account functions there, and don't use it regularly. I also don't work for them, or get compensated in any way for posting the link.)

One thing to say, though: For sure, you don't need each meal to be macro balanced, it's more a matter of full days. Even there, it's not essential to be exactly exact every single day, either. "Pretty good on average over a few days" is perfectly reasonable.

Protein and fats are essential nutrients. (Our bodies can't manufacture some vital parts of them out of any other food intake, so we need to eat some.) Carbs are more flexible, because our bodies can manufacture carb-equivalents. Therefore, it can make sense to treat protein and fats goals as minimums, and let carb level float to balance calories.

On top of all that, it's not essential on day 1 (or 3, or 6 . . . ) to be exactly where you want to be on macros. As long as you don't have a diagnosed deficiency or diet-relevant health condition, you can start logging your eating, and use insights from your diary to gradually move your routine eating habits in more health-promoting directions. In some ways, that can possibly a better path to finding easy-to-follow new habits you can sustain long term, as opposed to trying to revolutionize eating habits all in one quick jump.

If your key goal is weight loss, that's directly about calories, not macros. Of course, macros are important for health, and can indirectly affect weight loss via their impact on appetite or energy level.

Maybe you know all this. If so, great! I'm maybe compulsive about saying it because we do see new people here sometimes who seem to think macro goals are a kind of magic spell that has to be precisely correct in every little way, or good things can't happen. That's absolutely not the case. Gradual improvement is a viable approach.

    Best wishes

Also keep in mind that your macros are likely the standard setting MFP uses. This might be good for most people, but other people feel better and happier if they eat less carbs, or more fats or something completely different. Don't worry too much about macros at the moment and just at the end of the day have a look at your diary. Was there a meal that didn't keep you full? Could the answer be found in the amount of various macros, too liquid-y or any other reason? This is also a good moment to figure out what works for you.

ChatGPT and Bing Copilot do this. Just lay out your macro goals, calories , number of meals and get as detailed as you want
