Weight loss/ calorie deficit for short-y :)

Hello! I am 31 and 5’0. I got my weight to 110 and was around that number for almost two years until two or three months ago when my weight blew back up to 123. I haven’t been that in two years and it came out of nowhere. My chart says my calorie goal is 1200 a day but I tend to be under especially because I just don’t eat too much. I have been actively incorporating protein and a lot of vitamins/minerals/veggies lately but do I need to lose more calories in order to lose weight or is 1200 calories a day the number they give as your deficit number?

If you gained 13 pounds in two months eating less than 1200, you need to get in to see your doctor.

At your height, 1200 may be right and it may not be, but if you've been diligent in your food logging 1200 should not have led to your weight gain of 13 pounds.

1200 is the lowest this site will give you. You can manually adjust your daily calorie goal to any number in "Goals" if your doctor tells you to.

can you clarify why are you asking “do i need to lose more calories to lose more weight?” how long have you had your 1200 calorie goal and how effective has it been?
