Fitbit not syncing with MFP

I am on the 30-day trial for MyFitnessPal. The main feature I want to use here is the nutrition. I use Fitbit for all other health. I don't seem to be able to synchronise Fitbit with MyFitnessPal. I have tried everything from disconnecting to reconnecting, deleting data, using android health connect, disconnect and reconnect, reinstall, checked permission and rebooting that whatever I do there is simply no synchronisation. This is a shame as MyFitnessPal won't work for me if I can't synchronise. before I delete the app any suggestions to get this to work.
