Hot Dog

I walked into my sisters house -you know the type - they only eat organic - only fish & chicken - no dairy, blah blah blah...even her real DOGS get organic food (really) - and she was eating a HOT DOG! I couldn't believe it - even I haven't eaten a hot dog in over 4 years...they are just gross. So much fat and don't even get me started on the "fake food additives" soap box - and the sodium and nitrates! Good lord they are a heart attack in a casing...
I thought I was going to flip watching my size zero, organic only sibling munching a hot dog until I saw they were "grass fed, organic, uncured turkey hot dogs. They also happen to be gluten free which was all she needed to add to make me take a bite of the offending thing she was sticking in my face!
IT WAS AWESOME! I ran right out and bought some...the beef ones are more fab than the turkey ones, and you just have to try them. They are made by Applegate Farms - a bit pricy, but not more than a pack of Hebrews or Nathans. They range from 70 cals to 120 cals per dog depending on if you get turkey, chicken or beef and did I say they were AWESME?? Nuke TWO for 30 seconds and with some brown mustard you have got one heck of a quick snack that is just killer.
I will NEVER go to a cookout again with out arming myself with a pack of these magical things...I got them at Whole Foods, hopefully you can find them, too.

I eat the Oscar Mayer Nitrate Free turkey dogs because they taste good.
They're probably still bad for me.0 -
I get the "Good Dog" by Yves Veggie Cuisine. They are 70 cals and very yummy. I still don't eat them often but at least they satisfy the craving in a decent way.0
