How many calories should I be eating?

I don't like the whole "eat every calorie you burn" thing. I typically eat around 1350 cals a day and I just finished week 4 of Beachbody's Slim in 6. I'm burning between 550-630 calories a workout, depending how much effort I put in. Do I need to up my calorie intake if I'm burning that much? Will I lose more if I eat more? I've heard both that and the opposite. What do I do?

    1- I love your avatar.
2- You should be eating more. If you're eating 1350, but burning 550 that means the net amount of calories your body is getting is only 800. Females shouldn't consume less than 1200 calories a day, men 1800. I'd advise eating back about 80% of your exercise calories if you can, or at least making sure your net calories isn't lower than 1200.

Eat your exercise calories back if you are doing the MFP way, because MFP already has a deficit built into it and when you exercise you create a larger deficit which can be harmful if you dont eat back those calories. If you find out your TDEE and subtract at most 20%, eat that amount of calories and dont eat back your exercise calories.

Would you suggest protein shakes after working out?
