Well Iβll be β my efforts are starting to pay off today. Took awhileβ¦.this motivates me to focus on my caloric limits and protein goals until Thanksgiving. But also need to get through my daughters birthday dinner on the 22nd. Iβm cooking so know whatβs going into the enchiladas!

@dannytrees1 I've been experimenting this week with meal times and snacks. Historically popcorn has been a romance for me. π€£ I am going to try to reintroduce it to my system and see how things go. I LOVE popcorn. It's probably my favorite food.
@HappyDonkey75 Not sure what we're doing for US Thanksgiving -- We aren't meeting up with anyone. We have in the past made just enough food/sides for 1 meal of 2 people, so there aren't leftovers, but not sure we're interested in that either. Good question though.

Well, I donβt know whether to believe this new low but itβs nice to see. My scale reads something different every time I step on it. I will put it on the same place on the bathroom floor and weigh myself and step off and then weigh myself again and it will be a different number, so I take the readings with a grain of salt.4 -
I had such a good day today! And I know itβs not going to be like this every day. So Iβm sharing my excitement here.
My work has these chorizo breakfast wraps that they make in the mornings. All the things that one would stay away from while trying to manage calories counts and such. But today was a miserable cold and wet morning. And it was Friday. Iβd done so well with my gym lunches. I figured I deserved a treat. And if I was careful with what I had for lunchβ¦.
It filled me up perfectly! By the time I went to the gym on my lunch it wasnβt too heavy in my stomach. I had a lovely lavender and pomegranate tea for lunch, drank my water and had an apple and some peanut butter. Then I had cottage cheese with tomatoes cucumber and red onion with some Cajun seasoning for dinner.
I realize this isnβt a sustainable reality. But I feel very accomplished today. And according to the food logs I hit all the necessary .. nutrients. And stayed in my counts. Soβ¦ yay!

Thankyou Kupla! Yes thatβs it. And interestingly. You saying that brought something up for me.
βDietingβ is veryβ¦ βbadβ to me. Triggering I guess? I donβt want to diet. Child of the 80s I guess. Diets were all the rage. And not done in healthy ways at all. They were very dangerous. I lost a good friend to an eating disorder. So Iβm very careful about managing my expectations in a healthier lifestyle.
But thatβs just it. I ate very well yesterday. Just not of the usual snacks. And I hit the gym. Something people - healthy people do!
Anyway. Got that out of my head. Iβm down a bit today. But Iβve started my period so thatβs going to change. But itβs nice to see that number and know Iβll see it again.

@Kupla71 My scale is similar. If I get it to read the same reading twice, that's the one I record. And I do the same, line the scale up in the same spot so it can't be the floor shifting the readings, etc.

@Emkaygirl1 - I agree on the diet thing, I can't think about it that way. Otherwise I spiral downward .
@Kupla71- I have played the same game with my scale. (and make sure scale is in same spot on floor. If I do , I try to just get it to read the same twice and take that measurement. If not, I take the highest number i get so then with any luck its off in the wrong direction and when I weigh again it will be a bit lower . Its all a mind game.
I am just sitting down for the first time since 5:30 this morning . Its been another busy day , had to get three horses to the vet for dental work for 8 am. then had to doctor on another horse that has a minor laceration on his le g.Then I got involved in a horse starvation rescue case and had to help the poor lady that literally found this horse that just appeared on her property in really really bad condition. The authorities are involved and I am not sure what is going to happen but I am on standby to haul or help in any way I can. In all honesty I think the poor animal needs to be euthanized its so bad off, (elderly horse who has obviously been starved and neglected for what appears to be a long long time. Humans can be terrible.
Eventually I made it in for grocery shopping, and home to get some housework done and dinner going.
All that aside, I feel way behind on posts as the thread has been so active. lost a couple of days due to busy work days and busy after work evenings with other commitments. Still getting my workouts in but nice to see everyone out here doing an awesome job.

I was NOT expecting that this morning. While I had such a good day on Friday and I was careful yesterday. I also rewarded myself with a few glasses of wine last night. And oh was it lovely!
I was fully expecting the uptick this morning. Though it might still be coming. Then Again, the reason I rewarded myself was the three times at the gym this week and then doing Two hours of yard work yesterday. Shutting down the garden for the winter, raking leaves, emptying all my pots, and weeding out my raised bed and dumping leaves on it to tuck it in for the winter. So.. I guess that was my workout yesterday.
The plan is to stay the course again this week. Next weekend is a stressful family event. They are part of the reason Iβve let myself go. I heal myself from interactions with comfort food and wine. Hahah. This week Iβm going to focus on healing myself with working out and refocusing nervous energy on productive things.
Anyone seen these dense bean salads? Iβve tried them previously and love them. They are perfect for my work. So Iβve gotten the ingredients for this weekβs lunches.

@tishsmith101 -great job.. I am living vicariously through you at the moment because I too want to see that number below 170 so badly!!! Its been since my thirties that I was that low (and lower) but I agree, it helps to be here to see we are not alone in this battle.

So annoying... when your calories and macros are on point and your steps are high and yet.... the scale goes up ..No salt , no alchohol, no sweets.. so what gives...
