Hi all. My name is Wendy. Looking to make better decisions for my health and well-being. This app will hopefully give me the help.and accountability to see what I'm eating and what I need to work on. Looking to lose roughly 80 lbs. Best of health to everyone on here. Any tips or aid on navigating the app is greatly appreciated. 😊

Welcome Wendy. Welcome to the struggle. Here are some things I tell people:
1. Hit this flag to see replies:
2. @wndsmart will also notify someone you mentioned them.
3. The food logs are man made so there will be a lot of entries for each food. Pay attention to serving sizes. Search and look at other services for numbers if it seems too good.
4. When you change your servings (be it from 1 to 2 or 1 to .5 your log will remember that and if you dont watch it the next time you log your food you could be getting 2x or .5 the calories logged.
5. exercise numbers are a guess at best. I think walking numbers are about the most accurate based on your MPH rate. Other stuff like zumba will assume you are really going at it during the exercise.
There are a lot of good people here like @AnnPT77 that will give really sensible advice but there often is not a lot of early love on new post arrival posts because a lot of people post and never come back to read replies (IMO).
6. look at the pinned welcome posts. There is a lot of good info.1 -
Take the time to find the right foods in the database the first time you log them. Some are very inaccurate. Some are close, and that's probably good enough. Once you log it once, it will show up as a recent food, so all the more reason to get it right the FIRST time.
Log everything. Be complete. Be accurate. Be honest. Have bad days and good days; just log it. Pay attention to your results and adjust your target as needed.0
