how much water should i drink and when ?
when i walk for wight loss walking 150 min or so
for optimum weight loss
and when during walking at the begining , middle or when during walking ?

    Water does not cause weightloss. The amount of water will depend on how hydrated you already are and what the weather is like there is no real rule. If you’re thirsty then drink.

    Drink plenty before you go out. For 150 mins, you'll still need to carry some, but in general I think people way over-think how much water they actually need when going for a walk, especially if they're well hydrated to start.

    i drink 1.5 L before walk and 1.5 L in the middle of walk
    is it ok ?
    or should i drink more ?

    Your urine color does a good job of letting you know how hydrated you are. I don't track how much water I take in. I drink "quite a lot" of water. No idea how much that is. I drink a glass or two of water pre-walk and also post-walk, and I always have water nearby at my desk, but I don't bother to carry any on 45-60 min walk. For you, a lot is going to depend on how hydrated you are generally, the climate and temperature, your weight, etc.

    That's a huge amount of water, I'd be sloshing and looking for the loo.

    Drink enough to stay hydrated. I tend to only go through a 750ml bottle on a 5km hike, which usually takes me an hour, hour and a half. I don't time having large drinks, I just drink as I need it.

    Yeah, its a massive amount, and you might also flushing out lots of electrolytes. Why not take a small bottle of water along and take a sip whenever you feel like it, or when your mouth feels a bit dry. For such a short walk, rehydrating afterwards is fine unless it's really hot where you are.

    It seems that sipping water over time has a better effect than downing large amounts all at once. The latter and it seems to just move rapidly through your system then you’re trying to find a bathroom.
