Hello, Idk if this is the proper place to post this question and I do feel silly asking it.
My goal is to be tone/fit, I would like to get abs but I am not sure how to go about getting defined abs. Not sure what excercises I should focus on. Any help is appreciated.

It is a perfect place to ask, but not sure you're gonna like the answer. The best exercise to get defined abs is...put the fork down. Yep, revealing abs is 99% about losing weight, only 1% about exercising the abs themselves. (You absolutely should continue to work the abs, as a strong core helps in virtually every type of athletic pursuit.)5

@nossmf Thanks! I am all for that answer. I am really trying to track what I eat, i don't dive too much into the calorie tracking but just tracking what i eat and putting it in the MFP helps give you a wakeup call. I don't always eat junk but it forces you to see where you can clean up the eating. Lunch and Dinners are where its tricky. Breakfast is always the same meal.0

If you want to lose weight to see abs, this approach may be holding you back.
Consistency is important- if you prepare multiple portions when cooking, then meals are as easy as opening a leftovers container.
Here's a recent example from my refrigerator:

Abs abs abs abs…..
Why are people so focused on this? It is a highly overrated goal. For most you need an unhealthy body fat amount for starters.
Genetics play a huge part of the equation. Someone with a naturally good set just has to diet down where someone that is naturally ab deficient needs to first build those muscles up then come back and diet down and many just end up looking skinny in their pursuit.
Focus on overall muscular balance0
