My Top 3 for Weight Loss

I'll preface by saying this works for ME. There's always going to some naysayers but I do me (And I lost 100 the last go round, and got lazy and gained 43 back over 3 yrs). So I'm back on track again and wanted to share.
My Top 3....
1) Portion Control: It means weighing, measuring, and logging. Is it a pain? Absolutely! But living like this is worse. Read the labels. Know what a serving size is. A simple trick to prevent overeating: Drink a Large glass of water BEFORE you eat. It tricks my stomach and head as to when I'm full.
2) Sugars, Artificial Sweeteners, and Carbs. : Cut them. delete them. I am a T2 Diabetic and now dealing with CHF. (Thats Congestive Heart Failure) Sweetness is the toughest challenge for me. My Coffee sucks these days. But so does dying. As my dad always said "Life is all about decisions... Make Good Ones" Artificial sweeteners have been linked to more issues than good (heart, and memory loss to name a couple) They also give false readings on my glucometer which skews my insulin dose. Read the real info online and not social media. Look at medical studies. No stevia, equal, sugar, Sweet and Low, None of it. If it has to be sweet and I can't? Natural unrefined sugar over chemicals is my doctors recommendation.
Finally:
3) Exercise: Counting steps is good. But I must do a 30 minute cardio workout EVERY day to create a real calorie deficit, (and don't eat the workout cals, because the whole reason I workout is what I just said above). That is how weight loss is accomplished Deficit.. Pills, Chemicals, and processed diet food is not in my world. My focus is on health. I hope these will help someone else who is struggling. Feel free to friend and message if you need help. We can do this together. Lee

That’s exactly what I do is the portion control and NO SWEETS. The exercise part is where I’m a bit struggling due to no time, but I do need to incorporate that during my lunch just walk around, it’s something better than nothing.
You can do it!!
It’s funny how we can gain 40lbs in a span of 3 months but it’s so HARD to lose that amount of weight. Just got to keep on trucking lol
Good luck!1 -

All you “need” for a “workout” is a brisk walk that will raise your heartrate. I only did 15 on the elliptical this morning due to time constraints, but every time I moved today I did the “ups” method. Fast walking or jogging to and from my truck. It made a difference. Anything is better than NOTHING! You got this!!
