I have no accountability and it’s driving me nuts! No one is supportive… They would rather bring me down… How do you find someone willing to be supportive and encourage you? All I ever get it “it’s just a this or don’t eat that make it your cheat day. When I try to meal prep everyone in my house eats my food… idk what to do yall?! Any advice?

I don't think I am accountable to anyone except myself. As for support, I mainly got it from the defunct newsfeed, but being active in these forums does help to keep my head in the game too. I never counted on or got any particular support 'in the real world' except my BF taking notes when he cooks so I can log the quantities correctly in my diary.
I think your biggest issue is sabotage? Are these your kids and/or your significant other eating your food? Have you clearly told them that your prepped foods are for you and how their behavior affects you? Or asked them why they eat your foods? I can't imagine being actively sabotaged like that. In your shoes, aside from clear communication, I would consider buying my own little fridge and putting a padlock on it.0 -
I see a couple of options- cook many more portions so there's enough for everyone.
*or*
put ingredients in the food that others hate
*or*
label your boxes with your name, and the date and meal (lunch/dinner) when you plan to eat it. There may be a chance the others see that they are taking something away from you that you need.
*or*
Have an honest talk to them about your needs.0 -
You need to somehow keep your food hidden away in the back of the fridge, if possible, or a separate pantry or even a box someplace the others in your household won't look for or find. May sound extreme but extreme circumstances call for extreme measures.
As for accountability, I live alone so I am accountable only to myself. I don't have family for support either....my daughter refuses to allow me to talk about my weight as she has an eating disorder so I accept her feelings. The rest of my family couldn't care less. So I have learned to count on myself for support. And I take pride in my own accomplishments.1 -
Hi Lindsey
If your looking for a proper accountability partner I'd be up for the task just so long as you are an accountability partner for me?
Here are some websites that we could work together towards that goal, I'd work out an itinerary to lay the ground rules of our partnership in an initial meeting. How does that sound for you?
