Do you happen to have Net Carbs turned on? That would certainly explain it.
To verify, In our Android and iOS Apps*:
Open the Menu or More(...) menu
Select Settings then Diary Settings
Toggle Net Carbs Mode off, if it's currently on
To reach our support team for assistance, please visit https://myfitnesspal.zendesk.com/hc/en-us or email directly to support@myfitnesspal.com0 -
Similar (but opposite) problem here. I have net carbs turned on. The individual food entries in my diary show the accurate net carbs amount. But when I look at my macros for the day, it shows total carbs. Impossible to tell if I'm hitting my macros1

I went into my Diary Settings but there’s no ‘Net Carbs Mode’ option for me. My app is up to date?

This would mean you're outside of the US/Canada, so we don't offer Net Carbs to your region at this time. Please reach out to our support team directly for further individual help, we'd be happy to take a look.0

I am having the same issue in Australia. The carbs for an item are lower than what is tracked in the macro section. Very confusing!0

I'm having this issue too. Im in the UK, I created a receipe which has 4 servings and when I added it to my diary, it is higher than in the receipe. Im using this to track my carbs, this is very confusing0

I'm pretty sure they have just got the math wrong. They are meant to subtract fibre from total carb grams to get net carbs but they are adding it. So carb grams totally overstated which is annoying when trying to work out macros and more annoying having paid for premium to get visibility of percentages at a meal level. Very frustrating that at the cost of this app, with the issue having been raised for quite a while based on this history that it has not been resolved.2

Complicating it even more is that in Australia and the UK, and possible other countries, carbs on nutritional panels are already net, so when people from those countries create foods and add the carb and fibre amounts, if the app is subtracting the fibre from the carbs for the 'net carbs' calculation, it's actually double dipping, resulting in more inaccuracies.1 -

Any update on this? I'm having the same problem in the UK and I see a huge gap like 150 cal, which isn't "some calories".
Does dropping a line to SC really fix the issue?

Dropping in to say I’m also experiencing this issue with carbs and I don’t understand the problem. It has nothing to do with net.
Today I have had 28g carbs yet macro count has me at 59g. That is a MASSIVE difference. Other counts are correct. I can’t even manually override the incorrect macro count, this is extremely irritating.0 -
i randomly started having this issue today. I’ve used MyFitnessPal for a very long time. This is the first time I’ve run into such a discrepancy What gives?

I'm giving another bump to see if there's any update on this issue.
