Dried weight Vs Cooked weight (packet information)

My husband and I, who are both using myfitnesspal have just discovered that we were calculating incorrectly.
Totally innocently haha.
For example, I have Ainsley Harriot cous cous - which on the back says it's got the calories for 100g and per serving.
I always weight it per g (dried) but actually the weight was cooked (with water) so I was having double the amount for the calories.
The same for lentils and brown rice.
I discovered that some packets don't actually say dried weight or cooked weight
I think it's a bit misleading, cos you look at the calories quickly in the shop and think it's amazing without releasing that.
Anyway, I have still lost weight and at least I know
I have been giggling about it ever since!
