Barcode scan for non premium users

I have tried to use your app several times in the last year, waiting for the return of the barcode scan feature to non premium users.
As a Dyslexic person, this wasn't an "ease of use" feature, this is an accessibility feature.
What you consider a perk, I consider a necessity.
The difference it made to just scan something rather than typing, reviewing the options, having to confirm each of the products are what I need, determining whether it is or isn't and then having to start again if necessary... That's extremely time consuming when you have issues with interpreting information likeas I do.
I find it pretty insulting that this is a monetise feature and it's just another hurdle in my life.
I would appreciate the return of the barcode scan feature to all plans, free ot otherwise.

I am agnostic about whether the scanner should be free or not, but - it’s worth just noting that it isn’t accurate. I use it as I have premium but I still have to check every single entry. It’s not connected to the manufacturers so ingredients change, sizing changes, they can be reused (in the UK, M&S barcodes often link to a Canadian brand) and sometimes they’re just plain wrong. Either in terms of foodstuffs or in terms of calories. Sadly, the scanner is not the accurate holy grail many people think it is.5

Agreed that the barcode scans often pull up total junk. Often times I'll scan something, check the details and see every micronutrient left blank. At that point I'm still stuck reporting it, correcting it, and making sure to save my own version of it because who knows if those corrections will even be used.
Really next to macro tracking, I'm not sure why this is considered a feature worth putting behind a paywall. I pay for it and barely see any value in it considering how often it trips me up and leaves me trying to piece together a deficiency that doesn't even exist.3
