How Bad Do You Want It?

Something happened to me this morning. Something profound.....a lightbulb moment if you will.
Two years ago today I changed my lifestyle and it just so happened that today was the day I was going to run 10km for the first time.
The longest I had ran before today was 9km and I was able to run 7k straight. Today my goal was 8km straight and then interval for the last 2k.
I made it to 7k. I fist pumped. I said to myself "I feel pretty good, I can keep going!" So I did.
I made it to 8k. I fist pumped. I said to myself "I feel pretty good, I can keep going!" So I did.
I made it to 9k. I fist pumped. I said to myself "I'm pretty close, I can do this".
God, I thought I was going to die. With about .5km to go I REALLY thought I was going to die. But I was SO CLOSE. So all I said to myself, over and over, yelling it to myself.....
"HOW BAD DO YOU EFFING WANT IT???"
.....and I wanted it so bad. Like so damn bad. So I did it. And I lived. And I feel effing amazing.
I wanted to share this story because most of the time, weather it be running or lifting or whatever activity YOU choose to do, the biggest battle is the one that is going on in your head.

Thats how baaaaaaaaaaad I want it!!!! CONGRATS!!! U did it, and so can I!!! Thank U sooooooo much for sharing your awesome story with us because we all want something so bad we can feel it leaping inside of us! I am that Lady that knows I can do sooooooo much more than I've done! My future is by far better than my past. I'm NOT looking back! I want it bad enough to stop eating after 6 PM, and cut certain things out of my diet all together! LOL! I BELIEVE 1000%, and I am so ever-loving sure that I'm the Lady who is going to show-up & show-out at The Gym..... My membership is not a waste of money. I OWN THAT GYM, BABY!!!!

Thanks all! I have been on cloud 9 all day....well between the eating all the food and being tired. Whew I'm exhausted AND starving!
@gypsyGIRL.....you totally got this! Your body is capable of more than you would ever think it is.....push through the "I can't" so that you prove to yourself that you can! Oh, and just thought that I would throw in that I have always eaten before bed and it hasn't hindered my progress at all. Your deficit is what matters, not when you eat the calories Good luck! :flowerforyou:0 -

I very much agree with you, whatever your goal is, motivation can only come from yourself. Ask yourself everytime you want to skip your workout, how effing bad do you want it?0
