Intro: I am 43 years old, 5'2" with a starting weight of 146 lbs. With being petite, EVERY pound is a battle. I have three little kids - ages 4, 6, and 8 -- and my hubby travels for work. So, cooking heathy meals the kids will actually eat, as well as trying to find time to exercise are struggles for me.

Weekly Update: Hmmm, back up a little. This hasn't been my best week - I did have splurge and have a good amount of pizza during the super bowl.However, the rest of the week wasn't too bad. I'm going to keep working at it - one day at a time!! We are going out of town this weekend, so my goal is to eat mindfully and track EVERYTHING, even if I end up going over a little.

02/12-195.6-(Trend Weight: 194.4)- It’s been a horrible February so far. The sugar cravings are winning. Meals have been pretty good, for the most part. It’s those night time snacks and munchies that are getting me! My birthday is May 10th and I decided that my first mini-goal is to lose a full 10 pounds between now and then. That would put me firmly in the 180’s and on much better footing health-wise. I would still be 30 to 40 pounds away from my ultimate goal, but those numbers sound so much more do-able. Am I reaching for the stars? I dunno, but stretching is good for you, right?

Finally a little progress! I feel like I'm in the groove now, which is most of the battle for me. I have a party to attend this weekend and plan to enjoy some of the cake that will be available. But like they say, it's not the single piece of cake that does you in; it's the rest of the cake!

I'm Chris - 74 year old female...5'5" ...I used to be 5'7" but arthritis hit and I lost two inches, so now that two inches is squished around my waist like the billows of a big accordion...
...Oh, well. I'll just keep working on it.
My husband and I are retired.
I see my trainer for 60 mins three days a week and try to walk the other four days. The walking doesn't always work out since we have our Grandson every morning. He's 2 years old and a pistol!!
