Hi, my name is Alex and I live in England. I’ve been watching my weight since July and I joined MFP in September. It’s been really helpful. My target was 10st (140lbs) by Christmas and I made it today! I don’t think I will achieve my size 12 target. I am a comfortable size 14 but my bust refuses to go down much. My hips are probably a 10. I guess that I am a weird shape and not a typical female figure. My next target is 136 lbs by Valentine’s Day. After that I will to go onto a maintenance diet. I am finding the daily calorie target relatively easy but at the expense of protein. All the high protein/low carb recipes I have found are frankly unappealing. Christmas is going to be a challenge. The other thing is that my weight goes up around my menstrual cycle. I could do with some thoughts from others with a ‘weird’ shape. How do I lose weight on top? I am exercising more than I was (indoor bike).

Hi Alex! Congratulations on the weight loss. I had a hysterectomy and went from bottom heavy to top heavy almost overnight. I'm still laughing. I don't have any advice, except enjoy it!
Clothes look so much better on me now. They fall from the shoulders, like they were intended. I get the top to fit, and my face, where I want people to look, looks good, too.
When I was bottom heavy, nothing ever fit around the face and top, no matter how hard I tried. If I got them to fit on top, the bottom was so strained, I was afraid to sit, or take a step. If I wore a fitted shirt and jeans, the shirt rolled up in a little wad around the waist. So hard then, now so easy.
    Best of luck!
